The federal Hazardous Products Act and its regulations define the hazard system itself: the classes, pictograms, labels, and Safety Data Sheets. The instant certificate trap

Some sites sell WHMIS certificates in minutes with no real assessment. Two problems.

First, nobody cares how you learn, just what you can prove you know. CCOHS puts the test plainly: after training you should be able to answer what the hazards are, how to protect yourself, what to do in an emergency, and where to find more information.

Second, certificate fraud is a growing problem and unverified certificates are now easy for an employer to question. A card with a QR code that verifies only the card, not the person, proves nothing about who did the training. Regulators have started removing exactly this kind of provider in other industries.
