The learner journey, step by step

Six steps from enrolment to certificate. Where your program sets a rule, the rule is yours and the platform enforces it.

  1. Enrol and consent

    The learner creates an account with their legal name, email and country, and gives explicit consent for identity verification and for a public verification page before any payment completes.

  2. Identity check

    Asgard Authenticate scans a government issued ID and matches it to a live photo. If the check cannot confirm the learner, the course does not open. A learner who is stopped can ask for a person at Gardril to review the result.

  3. The course

    Content is built to your written requirements. Where you set a required duration or sequence, the course follows it. No advertising or promotional content appears inside a regulated course.

  4. Checks during the course

    Identity is confirmed again throughout the session. If participation drifts, the learner is prompted back on track. AI tools and stand ins are blocked from completing the course or the assessment.

  5. The final exam

    A final certification test with a pass required for the certificate. AI does not mark the exam or decide the result.

    Your program sets: pass mark, number of attempts, and what happens after a failed attempt. Example from a current build: 80 percent to pass, two failures before the learner pays to retake the training.

  6. Certificate issued

    On passing, CredentialVault issues a tamper resistant digital certificate with its own public verification page. The learner can download it, and anyone with the link can confirm it.

    Your program sets: program name on the certificate, whether an expiry date applies.

What your inspector sees

A certificate is checked from a phone in seconds. The public verification page shows the learner's name, photo, program name, completion date and current status, and nothing else: no email, no payment information, no biometric data.

At the door

Open the certificate link or scan its code. Compare the photo on the page with the person in front of you.

At the office

Ask Gardril for the completion database for your program, or certification statistics, and receive them on request. The database is secure and searchable.

When something is wrong

Report it to Gardril. Complaints and inquiries are logged and resolved, and a certificate found to be wrongly issued is withdrawn.

Accessibility

Gardril builds to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the level referenced by the Accessible Canada Act and provincial accessibility legislation. The websites are partially conformant today. Two known limits are published: some employer dashboard controls cannot yet be reached by keyboard alone, and some course content is still being reviewed for keyboard operability and caption coverage. A learner for whom the identity check is a barrier can contact Gardril before starting and be verified another way. Barriers reported to support@gardril.com are acknowledged within 2 business days.

How a pilot runs

A pilot is paid, runs for 90 days, and covers one program or one exam stream. You receive full access before it starts, the completion database and statistics during it, and a written results report at the end that you are free to publish. Pilots are scoped so that most public bodies can award them within their limited tendering rules for services. Gardril is a Canadian supplier and a registered vendor on the Alberta Purchasing Connection.
